Today, we’ve released snooze rules, our latest addition to alerting in Cloud Observability. Snooze rules let you manage alerts more effectively during scheduled maintenance, temporary issues, and ongoing investigations.
What are snooze rules?
Use snooze rules to silence notifications for several alerts on specific or recurring schedules. For example, you can snooze alerts with the label galactic-datacenter every Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 PM:

- Specify the alerts you want to snooze by filtering on alert names and labels.
- Schedule one-time or recurring snooze rules.
- Export existing snooze rules to Terraform for alert management.
