Once you’ve integrated with AWS Cloudwatch, you have access to all metrics for AWS CloudWatch metric streams, which provides real-time monitoring of your Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources and applications.

To verify metrics are reporting, search for the metrics in the Metric details section of the Settings page.
The following table shows the CloudWatch metric streams metrics ingested by Cloud Observability.

| aws.cloudwatchmetricstreams.metric_update | count | The number of metric updates sent to the metric stream. |
| aws.cloudwatchmetricstreams.total_metric_update | integer | This is determined by multiplying the value of the MetricUpdate by a sum derived from additional statistics that are streamed. |
| aws.cloudwatchmetricstreams.publish_error_rate | count | The number of data entry errors that are irrecoverable when using the Kinesis Data Firehose delivery stream. |
